How to organize your car for everyday driving and road trips

Open vehicle trunk and cargo area

A well-organized car is easier to use, easier to clean and safer than a cabin full of loose objects.

Keep the driving area clear

Nothing should be able to roll under the pedals or interfere with the steering wheel, gear selector or visibility.

Create three storage zones

Daily: charging cable, sunglasses and parking items. Travel: drinks, wipes and passenger essentials. Emergency: warning equipment and other items required or useful in your region.

Use the boot intelligently

A trunk organizer can stop smaller objects moving around. Heavier luggage should be secured and positioned according to the vehicle manufacturer's guidance.

Do a reset after every long trip

Remove rubbish, restock essentials and put emergency items back in their fixed location. The easiest organization system is the one you can maintain.
